I learned so much about Puerto Rico last when planning for my visit - which is one of the reasons I love traveling and working in the travel industry.
1️⃣ Puerto Rico isn't just one island!
I'm really into geography and history and still didn't know that. It's an archipelago!
So if you have the time, see how many of the other islands, cays, and islets you can explore (especially if you love diving or snorkeling).
Sailing is a great way to do that because it enables you to visit places that others don't get to see.

2️⃣ Every beach on the main island is so different.
My friend lives there and she was saying that, next time, I need to check out Cabo Rojo, Buyé Beach, Flamenco Beach, Culebra, and Vieques.

3️⃣ Check out the mini boat safari!
Some of my friends did this and it looked sooo fun!
You take this orange jet boat and spend the day bosting ariund the islands.
This is a great way to see all kinds of the smaller islets and cays.

• RAINFOREST FOOTHILLS & BEACH TOUR

This is the one I did. I'd say this is probably the calmest itinerary between all of them. I knew that I struggle with heat so I just wanted to take a walk and swim in the rainforest.
You could do these activities yourself if you have a car - but tbh, I don't really like driving, and I wouldn't have learned all I did about the history, plants, and animals on the island. Tony knows soooo much!
• RAINFOREST NATIONAL PARK
》$129-$139 as of when I'm writing this
This is the one I would of done had I gone during a cooler time of year (May is reallllly hot! Consider the humidity, because I'm from the desert).
This tour includes a visit to La Coca Waterfall, and pretty panoramic views from the Yokahu Observation Tower. It also seems you go a bit deeper into El Yunque National Forest.
For both tours, you'll want to have money for lunch since it's not included.

The Salt River Canyon doesn't get enough love, but it really should.
Cibecue Falls is a lesser known waterfall that's MUCH easier to get to then say, Havasupai Falls. But you still get that beautiful blue-green water and the refreshing mist from the falls.
Thew view over the volcanic fields is pretty impressive, and you pass through so many climates on the drive.
If you end up living and teaching on the reservation, or if you're just driving through, it's so worth a day trip.
And if you're lucky, you'll even see wild horses.
