ABOUT THE BLOG

When Brittany first started this blog, she was sharing ways to teach and travel

And you can definitely still find that here. But after living on a reservation for 5 years, she realized that you don’t need to move to the rez to support indigenous communities.

You can learn about the tribes’ ancestral homelands you live on.

You can visit reservations near you to ask how you can support local tribes.

You can buy from Native American owned businesses when you travel the USA.

And, you can learn about indigenous people around the globe – whether you’re at home on your coach, or backpacking through Europe.

We believe heritage tourism and indigenous tourism can be a forces for good when we humbly approach each trip as a learning opportunity.

We also strongly believe that indigenous tourism should be led by the people whose culture is being represented – so we wish to amplify their voices through our content, while educating you on opportunities for authentic, immersive travel experiences.

Our company, Heritage Travel, aims to educate travelers while connecting them with indigenous communities across the United States and beyond.
